On the 4th of July this Summer- my wife Emily and I were living in a one bedroom apartment in Charlestown with our 6 month old baby. We knew that we had to move soon to a place more suitable for our family, but we continued to get overwhelmed with the real estate process. Scrolling through endless listings, trying to plan summer weekends around open houses, and the constant worry that everything was just too damn expensive in the Greater Boston area.
In July 2018 we made a call to Jay and Marybeth Wilson, a decision we should’ve made six months earlier. Jay and Marybeth immediately made us more comfortable and injected confidence into our pursuit of a new home. We described our ideal home in towns that would work for Emily and me. Good school system for the baby, a yard to play in, updated kitchen…the list goes on. They were able to immediately hone in on a list of legitimate options, and also offer up useful pros and cons of each. Now we felt like we had some traction.
We coordinated a visit to an open house at a small ranch in Sudbury- we met Marybeth and Jay at the house and we immediately felt like this was the home for us. Game On. Jay and Marybeth were critical in helping us strategize with our offer. Their knowledge of the market in the Boston suburbs is second to none and that paid off for us. When Marybeth called me that our offer had been accepted, we couldn’t believe it. We were absolutely ecstatic.
Now that we are settling into our new home in the beautiful town of Sudbury (with a big yard, and updated kitchen), we look back and are so incredibly grateful for having Jay and Marybeth help us. Friends, family, and strangers alike- if you are looking for a home in the greater Boston area, I would highly recommend calling Jay and Marybeth.
